The Kudvo Online Voting System provides a secure and intuitive voting experience enhanced by features such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), an abstain option, and voting limits. Voters can participate with confidence, knowing their choices are protected and their preferences respected. Follow this detailed guide to cast your vote.

Step 1: Receive the Voting Link

You will receive a unique voting link according to your registered details. The link will be delivered through the following channels:

  • Email: Check your inbox for the voting link.

  • Mobile Number: The link can also be sent as an SMS to your registered mobile number.

Note: If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your spam/junk folder.

Step 2: Open the Voting Ballot

Click the voting link from your email or mobile SMS. This will direct you to the online ballot page where you will need to complete the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Step 3: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Verification

To verify your identity and ensure secure voting, the system uses MFA. You will receive a code via:

  • Email: Check your registered email for the MFA code.

  • Mobile: The code will also be sent to your mobile number.

After receiving the MFA code, enter it on the designated verification page.

For Chrome Users:
If you're using Chrome on mobile, the MFA code will be automatically pasted into the form. Simply click "Allow" to proceed.

Step 4: Candidate Selection (Including Abstain Option and Voting Limits)

After MFA verification, you will arrive at the candidate selection page, where you will cast your vote for various positions based on your election preferences.

Example

Selection Rules

Each position will display the list of candidates. You will have the ability to:

  • Vote for Candidates: Select your preferred candidates by clicking on their names.
  • Abstain: If you choose not to vote for any candidate for a position, you can select the "Abstain" option. This indicates that you choose not to vote for that particular position.

Voting Limits: Each position may have minimum and maximum selection limits.

  • Max Selection Limit: If you try to select more than the allowed number of candidates, the system will show an error message in a modal pop-up. For example, "You can only select up to 3 candidates for this position."

Min Selection Requirement: If you do not select the minimum required number of candidates and attempt to submit your vote, the system will highlight the position with a red border and display an error message such as "Please select at least 1 candidate for this position."
Step 5: Continue and Review Your Vote

Once you have made your selections:

  • Click on the “Continue” button to move forward.
  • The system will display a confirmation page showing your candidate choices for each position.

If you need to adjust your vote:

  • Click the “Back” button to modify your selections.

Note: Ensure all selections meet the minimum and maximum candidate limits before proceeding.

Step 6: Submit Your Vote and Download the Ballot

Once you're confident with your selections, click the "Submit" button to finalize your vote. After submission, you will see a confirmation message indicating your vote has been successfully recorded.

  • Download Your Ballot: After submitting your vote, you will have the option to download a copy of your ballot for your records.

Important Features to Remember

  • Abstain Option: You have the freedom to choose Abstain for any position where you do not wish to vote.
  • Unique Voting Link: The voting link sent to you is one-time use. After submitting your vote, the link becomes inactive.
  • Security: Kudvo ensures the safety of your vote through IP tracking, device tokens, and time stamps to prevent unauthorized access.
