Ballot Link Blasts

The Ballot Link Blasts page allows election administrators to schedule, view, and manage the dispatch of voting links to electors. It ensures that electors receive secure ballot links needed to cast their vote. The page provides details on the status of each blast, including whether it has been successfully scheduled or delivered.

1. Navigate to the election's dashboard.
2. In the left-side navigation menu, click on the Ballot Link Blasts option.
3. The page will display a list of all previously scheduled or sent blasts.

Schedule a New Blast

1. To schedule a new blast, click the + New Blast button located in the top-right corner of the page.
2. A new form will appear where you can set the following details:
   • Recipients: Select the electors or groups of electors to whom the blast will be sent.
   • Message Content: Customize the content of the message to include details about the voting process and a link to the ballot.
   • Scheduled Time: Set the date and time when the blast should be sent. This ensures electors receive the notification at the appropriate time.
3. Once all details are filled in, click Schedule Blast to confirm.

View and Manage Scheduled Blasts

The Ballot Link Blasts page will show a table of all scheduled and sent blasts. Each blast includes the following columns:

• # (Blast ID): A unique identifier for the blast.
• Scheduled At: The time and date the blast is scheduled or was sent (e.g., "Sep 20, 2024, 02:34 PM").
• Status: Indicates whether the blast is "Scheduled," "Sent," or has encountered an issue.

Edit or Cancel a Scheduled Blast

1. To edit a scheduled blast, click the Edit icon (pencil) next to the respective blast. This will allow you to modify the recipients, message content, or scheduled time.
2. If you need to cancel a blast, click the Delete icon (trash bin) next to the scheduled blast. You will be prompted to confirm before the blast is deleted.

Monitor Delivery Status

Once a blast is scheduled and sent, you can monitor its status on the Ballot Link Blasts page. Successful blasts will display a "Sent" status, while those that are scheduled but not yet sent will display "Scheduled."
