The Booth Token page in the election management system allows election administrators to monitor and manage booth activity during an ongoing election. This section is crucial for tracking the voting process, ensuring smooth voting, and addressing any issues that arise in real time.


Booth Information
  • Booth Column:
    • Lists all active booths set up for the election, each assigned a unique identifier (e.g., "Booth 1").


  • Votes Polled Column:
    • Displays the number of votes that have been cast at the booth (e.g., "1 vote polled").


  • Status Column:
    • Occupied: Indicates that the booth is currently occupied by a voter (e.g., "Occupied").
    • Pending Activation: Shows if the booth is ready to be activated but has no current voter (e.g., "Pending Activation").


  • Current Elector:
    • Shows the voter currently assigned to or using the booth (e.g., "Mrs. Ignatius Goodwin, Voter ID: SA00578").
    • A green checkmark signifies that the elector has been voted.


Booth Actions


  • New Booth Button:
    • Allows the administrator to add new booths for the election, expanding capacity for more voters to cast their votes concurrently.
  • Copy Activation Link:
    • Administrators can copy the activation link for each booth, which can be sent to voters to access the voting booth remotely.
  • Revoke Elector:
    • If necessary, administrators can revoke a current elector's access by clicking the person minus icons.
    • A confirmation modal will appear, prompting: "Are you sure you would like to do this?" with Cancel and Confirm options.
Status Update Notifications
The page displays real-time updates of booth statuses, enabling administrators to monitor election progress and troubleshoot any issues as they arise.
