Voting Period

The Election Timing Setup page allows users to define the overall schedule for an election, including the timezone, start and end times for the election period, and the specific hours when the voting booth will be open. This is a critical step in ensuring that the election runs smoothly and is accessible to all eligible voters.

Navigate to the Election Timing Setup page as part of the election creation or management process.

• Click the "Set Timing" Button. Fill the required fields.

1. Timezone: Select the appropriate timezone for the election from the dropdown menu. This is crucial for ensuring that all election times are accurate and reflect the local time where the election is being held.
2. Starts at: Set the start date and time for the election by selecting the date and time from the calendar and time picker. This is when the election officially begins.
3. Ends at: Set the end date and time for the election. After this time, no further votes can be cast, and the election will close.
4. Booth starts at: Specify the date and time when the voting booth will open for voters. This is the time when voters can begin casting their votes.
5. Booth ends at: Specify the date and time when the voting booth will close. Voting will not be possible after this time.

Click the "Save changes" button to apply the settings and confirm the election schedule.
